Herbert Smith has become the first law firm to be awarded the Investing in Volunteers for Employers accreditation by the UK Volunteering Forum. The award is a further recognition of the firm's commitment to volunteering in our local community.

First ever tripartite volunteering accreditation project a success
Barclays and Leonard Cheshire Disability (LCD) have simultaneously achieved accreditation for their volunteering programme in a unique tripartite pilot project. As a result of the new initiative, subsidised by Volunteering England, the bank achieved the Investing in Volunteers for Employers quality mark at the same time as their charity partner being awarded Investing in Volunteers. Both parties worked with trained IiV assessors and were advised throughout the process by Volunteer Centre Westminster.

Yorkshire Water pioneers new volunteering quality mark
11 October 2007 Yorkshire Water has today become the first organisation to be awarded the Investing in Volunteers for Employers (IiVE) quality mark, the only standard which recognises excellence in employer-supported volunteering. The accreditation demonstrates the company’s commitment to best practice through supporting and motivating volunteers and their managers, while complementing and enhancing its business values and objectives.
